D-Link DMP 100
The D-Link DMP-100 is a compact MP3 player-cum-voice recorder with 32 MB of built-in memory. This can be upgraded to 64 MB with the help of a flash card. The player features a transparent plastic body, giving you a full view of its internals. Apart from an integrated voice recorder, which can be used to record memos or interviews, the DMP-100 also features an equaliser. You can connect it to the parallel port, and transfer MP3s using the software provided. The stored voice files on the player can be transferred to the PC for storage or playback. You can even use the memory on the player to store your PC files and transfer it later to another PC.
File transfer speeds were average-it took 56 seconds to transfer a 5 MB MP3 file. Five files totalling 24.2 MB took 4.15 minutes to transfer. A good set of features, sharp and loud audio output, and a fairly low price make this device a good choice for people who are willing to spend on an MP3 player.
